TANGO Seaweed partnering with Food2050. Creating delicious foods - while promoting its positive impact on people and the planet.

This fall we have partnered up with the Swiss start-up Food2050. They are developing and promoting food which makes a positive impact on the climate. In their model - and based on the latest scientific findings - they are using tangible measures as well as creative story-telling to encourage good choices towards a climate-friendly diet of the future. This week their first product with seaweed: SHROOMY - is launched.

From recipes to ready-to-eat products, Food2050 will offer businesses and consumers a nutritious and delicious toolbox to reduce environmental impact while increasing consumer wellness and enjoying tasty food.

The goal is that the Food2050 impact model will guide all food system stakeholders towards a dietary transition and a global food system that respects human and planetary health.

-          Sure enough: such a future diet must include seaweed!

SHROOMY – 98% Swiss and 2 % Norwegian…

This is the first Food2050 product where seaweed from TANGO Seaweed is applied. “SHROOMY” is a mushroom sandwich which is 100% homemade with purely plant-based ingredients, and including the use of organic ‘food waste vegetables’. It is produced under the brand 1.5°FOOD and will be launched at the festival FOOD ZURICH from September 8th to 18th. We recommend visiting 1.5°FOOD’s stand at Europaallee in Zürich during the next weeks.
